I am passionate about facilitating the learning and development of others so I am very excited to provide leadership to the board in the process of planning and actualising the 2022 SBB Battle! The 2022 SBB is an opportunity for the board members, students, and organisations to develop their knowledge to get to the root cause of problems. I grew up on a farm in Ireland and have a background in chemistry and science-based business.

I am currently doing my premaster in Accounting and Financial Management in Rotterdam. I am specifically interested in sustainable finance and accounting, particularly combining sustainability and business and I believe it is very valuable for present day students to get acquainted with sustainability business cases before joining the corporate workforce. And the SBB provides an opportunity to do just that! One fun fact about me is that I can speak a little bit of Mandarin!

I currently study Industrial Ecology at Leiden and Delft. I believe the metronome of our environmental crisis has been set on presto and tackling the the sustainability challenges of Dutch organizations through the unification of students and businesses is a great place to start! One fun fact about me is that I am trillingual.

I’m Ricarda and I’m currently 22 years old and in my third year of my bachelor International Studies with a minor in Sustainable Development. A fun fact about me is that I love hiking and will always choose to go to the mountains over the beach.

I’m Everest, I’m 24 years old and I’m currently finishing a master’s degree in archaeology. I love exploring complex modern issues through historical perspectives. One fun fact about me is that I grew up blacksmithing and love to work with my hands.
The FOUNDATION
The Foundation of Sustainable Business Battle was founded after the first edition of the Battle in 2017. The goal of the foundation is to help organise events that bring students, businesses, and sustainability together, as in the Sustainable Business Battle. The Foundation provides an infrastructure and the necessary support to organise these events on an annual basis. As of today, their main project is the Sustainable Business Battle. In the near future, the Foundation is looking forward to improving and expanding the Battle, making it a national and international competition, as well as organising additional events around the theme of sustainability.
